This weekend I sent the boy off to the Toyota Grand Prix in Long Beach so the girl and I can “hang out”. It started with a Friday movie night and Cold Stone Ice Cream, then the nail salon on Saturday and a photo shoot at a local college campus. Then she had enough of mom and decided that she would like to hangout with her friends. Can’t believe it’s already starting at age 6!

My kids have been less than thrilled with my camera, even my daughter who normally loves taking pictures – however today I was inspired to capture her joy by Karen from Chookooloonks.com. Even though she was less than cooperative, I managed to get a few shots of her.

Sometimes it’s good to spend some one-on-one time with the camera. I was feeling motivated and need a picture for a blog post, I didn’t use this one but I wanted to share it here. I am really enjoying the haze look coming from behind through the window. You can see more pictures on my flickr page.

Received some flowers over the weekend so I decided to take advantage and play with my 50mm and Macro Extension Tube which doesn’t get much action.
